UX & Branding
I find out what people actually do, then design for that.
Four years in UX research and product design, with 2ndSun, Marketron, Pitchery and Raiven, two years in brand strategy in Los Angeles, and 12 years in film. I lead discovery sessions, scope the work, research with real users and design brands, websites and products that put the work up front.

Dreamotion
Rebranding a film studio around its work · 2026
Dreamotion makes commercials and runs the Actor's REEL Experience, a day on a real set for actors building their reels. The footage was strong, but the brand, the site and the socials undersold it. I audited all three and proposed a rebrand to the founder.
The brief: a one-week audit of Dreamotion's website, socials and brand, ending in a rebrand concept for the founder.
Before and after. The old homepage played footage with no headline. The concept leads with a promise, the reel and one clear next step.
The audit: five things stopping a visitor from booking, and the fix for each.
The socials audit told the same story: a finished scene outperformed the logo card about 10 to 1. Let the work be loud and the logo be quiet.
The direction: a widescreen D mark, a calm and specific voice, and purple moved to an accent.
Designed for the phone first, in dark and light, with separate paths for actors and for brands.
Raiven
A procurement app contractors actually use · 2023–2024
People signed up, then disappeared, even with discounts. My research showed we had the wrong idea of who they were, and the product changed because of it.
Raiven is a procurement platform for 3 million US contractors. I led research and design for the desktop product.
The problem: people signed up, then disappeared, even with discounts. We had the wrong idea of who they were.
A three-week research sprint with 20 interviews, on-site observation and surveys turned our assumptions around.
Synthesis: affinity mapping and personas built from what contractors and office staff actually told us.
The product shift: from a discount store to three tools across the buying journey, local procurement, price quotes and order management.
I tested mock-ups with users at every step before anything was built.
Results after launch. What I learned: test your assumptions early, because the user you picture is rarely the one you have.
Customer Success Tool
One source of truth for customer success · Raiven, 2024
Setting up one new company took the team two weeks across three systems. I designed the admin tool that brought it into one place.
An internal admin tool for Raiven's customer success team. Customer data lived in three places, and setting up one new company took two weeks.
One source of truth: companies, branches and users in one place, built in three months.
I interviewed the customer success managers, ran whiteboard sessions with the team and tested designs in a lean UX loop.
Results: every new customer onboarded themselves, and the team went from exhausted to focused.
Brand strategy
Los Angeles · two years
As a brand strategist in Los Angeles, I worked with clients including Donna Mizani and on smaller campaigns for El Silencio Mezcal. I ran discovery sessions to understand each brand and its audience, shaped the creative direction and led stakeholders through presentations.
I bring the same process to my independent UX/UI and branding clients today: discovery, scope, research, design, and a clear story for the people who sign off.
